Student Impact and Outcomes (SI&O) provides strategic services geared toward elevating the social and economic equity of students experiencing disproportionate barriers. SI&O staff members have advanced credentials and extensive experience serving populations such as the neurodiverse community and those impacted by the judicial system. Supports include high-impact interventions encompassing YouScience assessments, weekly coaching to increase social cognition and executive functioning skills, technical and professional competency building, self-advocacy and career readiness training, as well as faculty training – all necessary for the equitable attainment of academic credentials and successful transitions to four-year institutions or in-demand jobs garnering family-sustaining wages. Services may be accessed at Transformation Coaching Services.

To dismantle economic suppression caused by the digital divide, digital fluency support through the QEP Digital Fluency Microcredentials, as well as career technology support, including Handshake, Jobscan, Big Interview, and more, are provided one-on-one or in small groups. In addition, the SI&O unit performs efficacy research to evaluate and improve Student Experience & Outcomes (SE&O) support services that include Student Life, Transfer Services, Career Services, Career Counseling, and Transformation Coaching, to meet the institution’s goal of closing equity gaps. Efficacy studies monitor the impact that economic, technological, and other issues have on higher education, transfer, and employment trends.
