Community Education
Austin Community College District’s (ACC) School of Community Education (formerly Continuing Education) provides a variety of career/industry certificates and courses to help students obtain a job or a better job quickly (usually within six months or fewer). These CE programs and courses are found in most of ACC’s academic programs. In some cases, CE courses can count towards an ACC Associate of Applied Science degree. Students should speak to their program advisor for more information about which CE courses may count towards a degree. CE also offers Lifelong Learning courses for personal and professional development. Students can register for CE classes without completing the traditional ACC enrollment process. Visit the CE website for information on program details, class schedules, and registration information.
Training for Businesses
ACC’s Corporate College in the School of Community Education provides customized training for businesses in technical areas, management and supervision, employability skills, and other skills to improve job performance and productivity. CE project managers work with individual businesses to develop custom courses and schedules that work for them. Visit CE Corporate College for more information.
