Bachelor Degrees
The Bachelor of Applied Science, the Bachelor of Applied Technology, and the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree programs are designed for students who already have two-year degrees or have earned comparable degrees at other institutions, or who are currently pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in a technical field, in order to enhance their credentials and provide upward mobility in the workforce. Bachelor degrees require a minimum of 120 semester credit hours for completion.

The following degree is specifically designed for licensed registered nurses with obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN):

Associate Degrees
The Associate of Arts, Associate of Arts in Teaching, and Associate of Science degrees are specifically designed to facilitate the transfer and application of credits earned at Austin Community College to the bachelor degree requirements of most public colleges and universities. Associate degrees require a minimum of 60 semester credit hours for completion, with some exceptions — see Semester Credit Hour (SCH) Requirements.

Pursued after completion of a related bachelor’s or associate degree, Advanced Technical Certificates (ATC) prepares students for a career field with more specialized training. Advanced Technical Certificates require 16-45 semester credit hours for completion.

Prepares students to enter a specialized career/technical field or upgrade skills for job advancement. Most certificate awards are structured to allow students to move on to a higher level certificate or an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree. Students do not need to meet TSI requirements to enroll in a Level 1 Certificate program. Level 1 Certificates require 15-42 semester credit hours for completion. Level 2 Certificates require 30-51 semester credit hours for completion.
